While some may claim that Speck does not have a reputation of building cases with an actual design intended to protect you from damage to your iPhone 4, this case shows Speck in a new light. Instead of designing a case based on its "awe" factor as some may put it, this case Displays an equal balance between what is fashionable, but has enough qualityto save your loved tool, your iPhone 4. When we first started our Speck CandyShell iPhone review, our hopes were not the greatest for this case.



Upon decided to review an iPhone 4 case, the first thing in which we look at is the materials that make up the case. The "Speck CandyShell iPhone 4 case" is created with materials from silicone to hard plastic (TPE & Polycarbonate as quoted from the manufacturer). The Speck Candyshell Case protects and covers the four sides and back of the phone, with the corners and sides being insulated with the rubber like material and the center and rear covered with hard plastic. In truth the one thing we didn't't care all that much for, was the ultra tight fit of the casing. Not because a tight fit is not good, but once your case is securely on your iPhone 4, it hard to remove. This can be perceived from a few different perspectives. As a positive you know your iphone is heavily protected against water and moisture damage, but if you happen to own multiple cases, this might not be the case for you if you like to change your case regularly. During our Speck CandyShell iPhone 4 review, this is what the biggest issue we found with this case to be.



However, believe it or not, the "Speck Candyshell iPhone 4 case" has detailed instructions on removal technique should you desire. While we suggest against it, as it may turn out to be frustrating, but we do know some individuals won't be discouraged by something as small as that. We do not mean to overly imply that the casing is irremovable, rather that it is much trickier to remove than other cases we have sampled. That being said, the tight fit ensures great protection against a dropped iPhone 4 or many additional types of damage it may incur. The textured rubber inside of the case provides additional shock support to make sure that the screen or even entire iPhone 4 does not crack and break if damaged. When we performed our Speck CandyShell iPhone 4 Review, we took one of our test iPhone 4′s and dropped it from 6 feet approximately 5 times. The case no damage and the iPhone functioned normally and had no damage or performance issues. When it comes to the best protection for iPhone 4 this case makes the cut.



Another big complaint you find with casing is the way it covers buttons and ports we find on the iPhone 4. Not with the Speck Candyshell iphone 4 case.The Speck CandyShells is made in a way that all of the ports and buttons line up perfectly with the case, as well as the 3.5mm jack and mute slider provide dynamic accessibility which in truth many cases can't deliver. The buttons as well are overlaid with this special rubber, but weren't made to be thick so that the user can actually feel the buttons depress naturally and without force. Lastly but not least when we were completing our Speck Candyshell iPhone 4 review, we must add the corners all come with rubber bumpers. Many know this is an important feature to defend the case itself from wear and tear.
